Why

These options are great for you! Enlarging the text when your eyes get tired, you have visual challenges, or you are distracted. Adjusting the Reading Speed allows you to make changes depending on what you are reading. You may want the Reading Speed to be faster, or if you are learning a new language, slow the Reading Speed down.

When

When you come across difficult material, try slowing down the speed and see if that helps your understanding. Or, if you are reading for pleasure, you may want to increase the speed as you enjoy your book. Enlarge the text if you're feeling distracted or tired.

How

Using Enlarged Text and Reading Speed

Find the "Listen," , button
Click on hamburger, , next to the "Listen" button
Click on "Settings," .
Click on the speedometer, , on the top row of tools.
Use the up and down arrows on your keyboard to adjust the speed.
You will also see the Enlarged Text tool on the lower toolbar.
Toggle the toolbar to the on position, and look for the green "X."

Note: The two tools are now adjusted and turned on. Highlight a passage of text and click "LISTEN" from the pop-up player, or click "LISTEN" from the top of the page. The enlarged text will play at the bottom of the page.

Navigate to the document
Open docReader according to your view. If you have forgotten which view you are using, please look at the Definitions Page.

  - Click on the dropdown menu to the right of the file name, , and then click on "Open with docReader," .

Note: Enlarged Text is not available in docReader. In docReader, to view larger text, use the Zoom In Tool, which has an icon that has a magnifying glass with a plus, .
